Used Wedding Dresses

Wedding Dresses 1 Comment »

Used Wedding DressesAre you still trying to find your dream wedding dress that doesn’t cost so much? Coming from experience, it can be really hard to do.  I’ve given some great ideas on how to find the perfect wedding dress for you, either from how to design your own wedding dress, or going with vintage wedding dresses to save money, but today I’m going to take it one step further and suggest going with used wedding dresses. The idea can make most brides start quaking and getting repulsed with just the mention of going with used wedding dresses on their wedding day. I know I shrunk away from the idea of used wedding dress when I was planning my own wedding – but hear me out real quick because I’ve learned a lot about them lately. Used wedding dresses are a great way to save potentially thousands of dollars without anyone noticing anything. Plus, and here is something that most brides don’t know about either – but a common misconception about used wedding dresses is that they were all previously worn on someone else’s big day, which isn’t always the case. Interested in hearing more? Bridal Shower Thank You Notes

Bridal Showers No Comments »

Bridal Shower Thank You NotesI’m sure that you’ll find that when you’re planning a wedding, there are going to be lots of different wedding showers to attend from friends, family, co-workers, religious groups, and more. You’ll have wedding showers that are fun and exciting, others that are more formal. But the one thing in common for all of them is that you’re going to need to send out bridal shower thank you notes once the events are over, so be prepared. The more organized and pro-active you are, the better off you’ll be when planning your wedding and especially when it comes to bridal shower thank you notes. If you wait until the last minute like some people do, you’ll find yourself overwhelmed, forgetting what people sent you, or worse, forgetting that people were there at all. Plus, it’s easy to procrastinate, or put things off, when you have loads of other stuff to do – but in my opinion, putting off your bridal shower thank you notes isn’t one of the things that you should be putting off. Trust me from my own experience, the longer you put off your bridal shower thank you notes, the worse off you’ll be when you sit down to do them. Here are some excellent tips on things I found worked for me, or that worked for other people and I wish I had done myself.

Bridal Shower Invitation WordingWhen you are planning a bridal shower for a friend or family member, I know how important it is to get everything right down to the last detail. Things can be hard when you’re planning an event like a bridal shower, because you know that it is something the bride will most likely keep mementos and photographs from, and remember for years if not the rest of her life. You can find bridal shower themes, decorations, food, presents and games, but what about wedding shower invitations? Really, the first time that anyone gets a glimpse into what kind of wedding shower you’re planning comes from the wedding shower invitations. But the bridal shower invitation wording can make such a difference between the boring old traditional wording and something that is a little more fun and modern.

Sometimes it can be hard finding the perfect bridal shower invitation wording, but you need to come up with something cute that the bride and her guests will cherish and remember. I know how that when you’re trying to think of some kind of witty wedding shower invitation wording that sometimes your mind just sort of hits a brick wall. So if you’re planning a wedding shower and need some help with the perfect invitation wording for your wedding shower, here are some great commonly used verses and rhymes to help you get started. Use them to spur your own creativity, or simply change the names and copy them down, makes no difference to me. I had fun looking them up.

Red Wedding Dresses

Wedding Dresses 6 Comments »

Red Wedding DressesFor the most part, big white wedding dresses have been the norm in our culture for generations.  While some brides have been experimenting with adding a small splash of color on a traditionally white wedding dress, other brides are looking for something out of the ordinary like red wedding dresses to make a bold statement on their wedding day. Red wedding dresses aren’t exactly what I would call common, I don’t believe I’ve ever been to a wedding where the bride wore all red, but if you’re looking for something that is unique and different from every other bride out there, then a red wedding dress may be worth looking into. Red wedding dresses let you express your bold sense of personal style, but just the thought of getting married in a red wedding dress is enough to make many women nervous about what people will say about it. But when it comes down to it, your wedding should be completely that, yours. Red wedding dresses may make your mother and grandmother want to cringe, but it is ultimately your choice. So if you are seeing visions of red wedding dresses floating through your head, here are some great benefits for choosing them. Read the rest of this entry »

Celebrity Wedding Dresses

Wedding Dresses No Comments »

Celebrity Wedding DressesSome brides have always dreamed about looking like a fairy princess on their wedding day, with all eyes on her as she walks down the aisle.  Other brides can’t stand the thought of having a traditional wedding and would rather be married in a private ceremony on the beach, or in someone’s backyard. But the fact remains that all brides want to look their best on their wedding day. Fashion forward brides want to look glamorous and in style, but may not know where to look since nearly all wedding dresses sold in stores are the same? One great place to look is at pictures of recent celebrity wedding dresses.  Celebrity wedding dresses are a great way to take the pulse of the wedding fashion industry and have the most stylish wedding dress that you can find. But the thing about celebrity wedding dresses is that not everyone can afford the fabulous designer wedding dresses that celebrities can. So what good does looking at celebrity wedding dresses do for you anyway? I’m glad you asked!
