My sister is going through this right now, and it seems to be driving her crazy. She is planning a bridal shower for a good friend of hers from college who is getting married next month. Katie, my sister, wants to create a bridal shower invitation that will sound and look cute, and be something memorable for her friend to hang on to in the future, but is having trouble coming up with ideas. This really does happen a lot. Sometimes its hard finding the perfect invitation working for a shower, when you want to come up with something cute and your mind just sort of hits a brick wall so to speak. So, if you are planning a bridal shower, and need help with the invitation wording for your bridal shower, here are some great commonly used verses and poems to help you get started.
- John and Jane will soon have a wedding /Down the aisle is where they’re heading /Before they become husband and wife /Let’s shower them with things for their new life
- Jane’s wedding is only days away/Let’s help her relax before the big day
- They’ve bought the dress and ordered the cake /They’re anxious about the vows they’ll make /To help pass the time and shorten the wait /We’re having a shower and here is the date.
- Jane is getting married/Who would have thought?/Lets throw her a party/Before she ties the knot!
- Jane’s wedding is on the way/Let’s get her prepared for the big day!
- Jane’s all grown up/And giggling with glee/Please join us to honor/our sweet bride-to-be!
Of course, with any invitation wording for a shower, you will want to be sure to include the place, time and day, along with RSVP information. If you are having a couples shower, then your invitation wording for the shower needs to somehow indicate that it is for couples, and if a meal or snacks are being served. Invitation wording for showers should not be the most difficult part of planning a bridal shower for your friend, so take a deep breath, and remember to have fun with it. Wedding dress shopping can be a bit overwhelming. If you are like most people, you don’t really know what kind of wedding dress would look good on you, and you just want to shop and look around for a wedding dress that you fall in love with. Plus there are so many terms to remember, the length of the train, the bustle, the under garments, and of course, the different types of wedding veils. Wedding veils come in all sorts of lengths as well, and it’s best to know what is available to you when doing your wedding dress shopping so that you can get it right. So, here are the different types of wedding veils that you have to choose from.
When thumbing through all the pictures of the different wedding hairstyles available to the bride, it can be a bit overwhelming. There are so many different ways that brides can wear their hair for the big day. Long flowing hair cascading down your back, a fancy updo, or a wedding hairstyle that is halfway up or just full of curls, the possibilities are endless. For more information about the different updos you can choose from, and how to choose, see my previous article,
I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not real great at doing my own hair. To tell the truth, all I can really do is a pony tail, or maybe on a good day I can do this little french twist thing with a couple off bobby pins. For some reason curling irons never do what I want them to do, and my flat iron just doesn’t work with me either. Lucky for me my husband likes my hair down and straight, and that is easy enough for me to handle. And while we are being truthful here, I don’t really even like wearing make-up all that much. I’ll put some base and eyeliner on for a special occasion, but anything else I’m pretty lost on. So I knew that for my wedding I would have to either enlist a friend with those talents, or hire an expert to help me out. After some minor research I found an expert in both hair and make-up nearby who could help me out.
One of the major responsibilities of the groom is to plan and pay for the honeymoon destination. While some grooms out there may plan the entire thing by themselves with the honeymoon destination remaining a secret to the bride, many others enlist the help of their brides to help them choose the perfect honeymoon destination for them. If you’ve never thought of what kind of honeymoon destination you’d like to have, then now is the time to start considering it. Trust me, the earlier you discuss the different honeymoon destination possibilities, the earlier you can get everything taken care of, and perhaps save a bit of money by making your decisions early. If you are still wondering what kind of honeymoon destination questions to ask, then here are some great tips to helping you get started.
