When I was planning my wedding, one of the details that I paid the least amount of attention to was what kind of wedding shoes I was going to wear with my wedding dress. Now, I knew that I wasn’t going to go barefoot or anything like that, but I figured that since my wedding dress was floor length, that the kind of wedding shoes that I chose to wear wouldn’t be that important. If you’re thinking that way, it’s not a totally wrong way to think, but don’t assume that just because you can’t see your wedding shoes while your standing still or walking, other people will see them sometime during the day. I ended up choosing my wedding shoes a few weeks before the wedding, some cheap wedding shoes that I found at a discount shop that did the trick perfectly for me. Other brides want to really show off their cute and unique wedding shoes as much as they can. If you’re looking for unique wedding shoes as it pertains to the design of the shoe, the possibilities are endless. If you do your research, you can find wedding shoes that are stilettos, platforms, elegant sandals, flip-flops, pumps, and so much more with all the accessories you can think of. If you’re more comfortable wearing these types of unique wedding shoes more than another kind of shoe, go with what you’re most comfortable wearing for long periods of time – because you will be standing a lot on your wedding day.
Unique Wedding Shoes with Color
Another way that you can have some unique wedding shoes is to add a little bit of color to them. It has been the trend to start adding color to wedding dresses, so if you’re going to go so far as to have a red wedding dress, or a white wedding dress with pink trim, why not get some wedding shoes that have a bit of color to them as well? They’re sure to catch anyone’s eye, and will reflect your personal style like nothing else. If you can’t find any colored unique wedding shoes that will go with your dress, you might want to consider the kinds of shoes that you can dye to match your dress for a perfect pair.

As I mentioned above, most importantly you want your wedding shoes to be comfortable. Trust me, before my wedding, I was running around making sure everything was in place, people were in place, and running to and fro from hair and make-up appointments. Then, once the wedding started we had photographs to take, people to greet, more photographs to make, and in the end, we hardly sat down at all. So if you want some unique wedding shoes that are more comfortable and causal, you might want to go with some ballerina flats, some nicely decorated flip-flops, or something along those lines. If they seem a little too casual for your whole wedding day – then bring some casual (but decorated!) unique wedding shoes to change into later.
