Floating Candle Wedding Centerpieces

Are you having problems finding ideas for centerpieces that look nice but that not every other bride out there is using in her wedding? It’s a big problem, to be sure.  I remember trying to come up with ideas for my wedding centerpieces. You can look on the Internet for ideas all day long, but when it comes down to it, what fits in your wedding budget, and what really goes with what you’re envisioning for your wedding. It can really be a tough call. When I was going through different ideas for my wedding centerpieces, I had heard about floating candle wedding centerpieces, but the ones that I had seen I thought were kind of tacky and plain, and didn’t want them to have a part in my wedding. But after the wedding was over, I saw some excellent and elegant floating candle wedding centerpieces and wish that I had thought twice. So if you’re still looking for some elegant wedding centerpieces, here are some great ideas I’ve seen for floating candle wedding centerpieces.

Fun Floating Candle Wedding Centerpieces

If you’re having an outdoor wedding, an informal wedding, or even a wedding theme with a fun theme like butterflies or fruit, then floating candle wedding centerpieces can be a great way to incorporate your theme into the centerpiece.

The most popular kind of floating candle wedding centerpieces is simply a shallow glass dish filled with water and typically three to seven floating candles in the water.  Sure, we’ve all seen those kinds of wedding centerpieces, think of them what you will, and I have to admit, I was biased against them. But that was until I saw some of the beautiful designs that floating candles can come into.  Floating candles in all sorts of sizes and colors, and shapes! There are beautiful, and lifelike floating candles in the shapes of flowers, fruit, stars, butterflies, and so much more! If you’re wanting to do these kinds of classic floating candle wedding centerpieces, the Internet is a great place to find the exact floating candles that you want.

Elegant Floating Candle Wedding Centerpieces

But those aren’t the only floating candle wedding centerpieces you have to choose from.  If you’re looking for something just a little more elegant then here is another great idea for you. Instead of choosing a wide mouth shallow glass dish, why not go for a taller and thinner container instead, such as a hurricane vases or other decorative vase with a narrower mouth. Put one floating candle at the mouth, and the effect is breathtaking. If you’ve ever seen them, they are some really elegant centerpieces. You’re sure to love them. Another way to glam it up a little more is to submerge a rose or some other elegant flower into the water, and then put the candle on top. It’s totally beautiful! Plus, one stem per centerpiece is a whole lot cheaper than a bouquet at each table – right?

The Internet is such a fabulous place to look for ideas for wedding centerpieces. So if you’re still stuck, check out some of my other articles on great wedding centerpiece ideas. Whatever you do, don’t do what I did…and thats to judge something without really seeing it.
