One of the best things about bridal showers is that they can be anything that you like if you use your imagination. There are virtually hundreds of different kinds of bridal shower themes that you can use, and really, bridal showers with a theme are a whole lot more fun! Another popular kind of bridal shower is called a cakes shower. A cakes shower is a way to help the bride expand her recipe book for when she is married and acting as the primary homemaker. Having an extensive supply of dessert recipes can come in handy as all kinds of gifts, birthday cakes, special treats for your family, holidays, and much more.

As previously stated, I am a Christian, and I want my life and activities I do to demonstrate that to others around me. Therefore, when the bridal showers started, I didn’t want any kind of bridal shower game that was dirty, or what I considered inappropriate, in my opinion you don’t need those kinds of games to have a good time. I did find though, that if you’re looking around on the Internet for Christian Bridal Shower Games, you don’t really have a whole lot of options. There are plenty of games, however that I have played in the past, not necessarily at bridal showers, but that are still clean and appropriate to play with any group of people. I’ve compiled a list of my favorites, and feel free to comment and add any of your favorites as well.

Traditionally, bridal showers were for women only, and consisted of a tea, or fancy luncheon with maybe some games, and the opening of gifts, all for the bride to help her set up her new home. Today bridal showers are different, and can be anything that you want them to be. Some bridal showers are even co-ed, meaning the groom and his friends, or your friend’s husbands or boyfriends can attend as well. Two of our wedding showers were co-ed, since neither one of us wanted to miss out on a bit of the fun. If you want to have a co-ed bridal shower, but don’t want to make the guys uncomfortable with the lace, flowers, and fancy finger foods that usually accompany the traditional bridal shower, then here are some great ways to make your shower more co-ed friendly.

There are many popular themes for bridal showers today. One of the most popular is the Alphabet Bridal Shower. If you like, you can view more popular bridal shower themes in my other articles, Bridal Shower Theme Ideas and More Great Bridal Shower Themes. Today though, I’m only going to focus on the Alphabet Bridal Shower. To those of you who don’t know what this is, it is a particular theme of bridal shower which is based off of the alphabet. Sounds simple right? It is. To work this bridal shower, assign each lady a particular letter of the alphabet. Each lady is to bring a gift which corresponds to the letter they were assigned in their invitation. For example, if someone was assigned a C, they could bring a coffee cup, coffee, or collander. Allow guests to use their imagination and come up with gifts on their own. Such as, for the lady assigned the letter Q, let her do quiet time books, or a quick meal recipe book. But, if you are looking for ideas to help with your Alphabet bridal shower, you’ve come to the right place. Here are some great details to help make your shower something great!

In the not so distant past, bridal showers were serious events meant for women only, an elegant affair with nearly all of them located in someone’s parlor or garden, serving cucumber sandwiches and other finger foods and all participants gave the bride sweet, thoughtful gifts. This is not so today! Today, bridal showers have themes, are full of games, and hostesses for these bridal showers are getting more and more inventive with their themes, foods, gifts and even invitations. In fact, in many bridal showers today, men are also invited. If you are wanting to throw one of these great new showers, but are short of ideas, here are some more great ideas for bridal shower themes.

There is nothing quite like a bridal shower, having a group of ladies close to the bride all together at once celebrating an upcoming wedding, and the games you play at the bridal shower will help make everything more memorable for everyone involved. Having a list of bridal shower prepared will help everything to go smoothly. Be sure to keep in mind that there is no rule stating that you must have games at your bridal shower, but it will help your guests relax and start interacting if they are not already friends. There are bridal shower games for every age group, from the tame to the wild, and the game possibilities are practically endless. Here are some of my favorite games played at bridal showers. Personally, I prefer tamer bridal shower games as they are acceptable to every belief system, young and old, thus those are the ones I have listed below.

A new bride typically only has a few wedding showers before the actual wedding ceremony, and it should be fun for everyone involved. A themed bridal shower is a great idea, and many people have started finding fun theme ideas to make the shower more memorable, and helpful to the bride. The wedding shower is typically thrown by the maid or matron of honor or some other family member. The location is any place that works with your theme. If you are planning a bridal shower, and are anything like me, totally lacking in imagination, then you’ve come to the right place. I’ve done some research and talked to friends and listed my favorite ideas for a themed bridal shower below.
