Brown and Champagne Wedding Colors

Wedding Colors No Comments »

Brown and Champagne Wedding ColorsJust a few days ago, I posted an article about choosing trendy wedding colors. One of those colors that I mentioned was the color brown, and what a role it has played in weddings for the last few years. In the past, brown was mostly thought of as a cooler color and many experts advised that brown be kept to colder seasons, such as autumn and winter. That isn’t the case anymore. Softer, warmer colors such as pinks, blues and purples compliment the color brown and make for a really popular choice for spring and summer weddings as well. But what if you don’t like these colors, and would rather have brown and champagne wedding colors? Then, instead of a warm and cool color combination, you have two cooler colors that look great together. These days, brown and champagne wedding colors can be used for any season. So, if you are having brown and champagne wedding colors, here are some great ways to incorporate them into your wedding decor.

Brown and Champagne Bridesmaid Dresses

Many wedding boutiques have caught onto the popularity of brown and champagne wedding colors, and are making some beautiful bridesmaid dresses to go along with this theme. You can find some truly elegant champagne colored dresses with a brown sash to compliment. Pair some light hued flowers, and you’ve got bridesmaids that will perfectly match your wedding colors.

Brown and Champagne Wedding Flowers

Many brides stay away from choosing brown and champagne weddings because they are afraid they will not be able to find decorations and flowers to match it. This couldn’t be further from the truth. There are many excellent and beautiful choices that you have to choose from. Pale pink or cream colored roses make for a beautiful wedding bouquet. Your florist should have a full list of wedding flowers available in the colors that you want for your wedding.

Brown and Champagne Wedding Reception

The best way to insert color into your wedding reception is to use table linens. You can rent chocolate brown tablecloths with either champagne colored runners or circles to place on top. Also, using large drippy candles are an excellent centerpiece for brown and champagne wedding colors. Place coffee beans in the bottom of a large candle holder and place either a dark brown or cream colored candle in the center. The scent of the coffee beans and the candles will make your wedding reception smell wonderful.

Brown and champagne really do look elegant together, and the brown on tan colors are not an overkill of brown either. Another great thing about using brown and champagne wedding colors is that together they give off a kind of antique feel to your wedding, and a little bit French as well. Incorporating those into your wedding can really help to set your wedding apart as well. Let me know what you find!

Choosing Trendy Wedding Colors

Wedding Colors, Wedding Planning No Comments »

Choosing Trendy Wedding ColorsUnless you’ve been planning your wedding since you were five years old, there could be several factors in your wedding planning that can be a tough choice. One of those choices is choosing your wedding colors. They are the whole foundation of your wedding, and nearly every decoration, flower and wedding favor will be based off of the wedding colors that you choose. Your wedding colors could be based off of your favorite color combinations, but if you don’t really have one favorite color, then instead you could opt for some of the most trendy wedding colors that are being used today. Here are some of the top wedding color combinations of the year that you can use.

Deep Chocolate Brown

A rich chocolate brown has become probably one of the most popular wedding colors that brides are using today. In the past, brown was thought of as a cooler color for fall and winter seasons, but not anymore. Now brown is seen widely in spring and summer weddings as well, paired with a cooler color. You can pair brown with pale pink, light blue, lilac or mint green to create a striking color combination that will really make an impression. Plus it’s easy to add brown accents to your wedding decorations through the use of hang tags, ribbons, linens, flowers and even coffee beans. Check out my articles on pink and brown weddings, and using coffee beans as wedding decorations, for more information on using these great wedding colors.

Black and White

Black and white is another popular combination for wedding colors. Paired together they can put together a really elegant and attractive wedding. If you put your bridesmaids in black, they will really stand out next to you in your beautiful white wedding dress. Choose wedding decorations that are white with black accents, and you’ll find that this classic color combination will add so much elegance to your wedding that people will be talking long after it’s all over.

Various Shades of Pink

Pink is another widely popular choice for wedding colors. I mentioned pink and brown above, but pink lends itself well to many other color combinations that can make for a really beautiful wedding. Pair pink with black, brown, greens and blues, and you’ve great some great color combinations for spring and summer weddings.  If you love pink, you don’t even have to add another color - but instead have a totally pink and white wedding. Check out my article on pink wedding receptions.

There are lots of great color combinations for wedding colors that sometimes it can be really hard to make up your mind. You can talk to your groom and see if there are any colors that he prefers over the others, as well as your bridesmaids to make sure that the wedding colors you choose won’t clash with their skin tones. Then, if you still need help, check out my article on Choosing Your Wedding Colors.
