Spring Wedding Ideas

Spring Weddings 1 Comment »

Spring Wedding IdeasAs I’ve mentioned before, when I was doing my wedding planning, I was under the assumption that spring was the most popular time of the year to get married. I mean, spring is probably one of the most beautiful times of the year, the weather is typically beautiful and temperate, plus it seemed like everyone I knew was planning a spring wedding. Literally, during the spring months of March, April and May, my husband and I were attending at least one wedding every weekend, and sometimes two. Which is why I thought that spring was the most popular, but I was dead wrong. Turns out that the summer and autumn seasons rank higher than spring. But spring is still a great time of the year to get married. Spring symbolizes new beginnings and romance, and with all the flowers naturally in bloom- you’re sure to have a beautiful wedding. Your wedding flowers, decorations, and even colors can help celebrate spring and your wedding in one shot. So here are some great ways to incorporate the joys of spring into your wedding

Spring Wedding Colors

While the choice of your wedding colors is totally up to you, you can go with anything you want. But if you want to incorporate some springtime colors into your wedding, then perhaps the best place to look is in nature. For example, the bright green grass, blue skies, soft yellows, romantic pinks and fresh lilac are all beautiful shades found in springtime nature. You can pair some of these shades together for some exciting color combinations such as green and pink, or yellow and purple. If you don’t really like mixing the colors, then a light pink and dark pink look great together as well, or a light and dark purple. You can also choose some fun patterns for spring, such as gingham and polka dots, which are very popular for spring.

Spring Wedding Flowers

If you have a particular flower that you want to use, then look for some great spring colors to have them, or look for a flower that is particularly found in the spring season, such as daisies or some vividly colored tulips. You can also look at cherry blossoms, daffodils, roses and lilies. All will make beautiful additions to your springtime flower collection. Talk to your florist for more choices in springtime wedding flowers.

Spring Wedding Favors

A popular springtime wedding favor has always been seed packets so that your wedding guests can plant their own flowers at home in memory of your wedding. You can buy bulk seeds at any nursery and either wrap them in tulle or other cute packaging. And of course, include planting instructions on how to grow them. You could hand out butterfly magnets, some kind of candy wedding favor, or even flower pens, as I talked about in my previous article, Make Your Own Flower Pens. They make a great wedding favor, and look like a beautiful and vibrant flower bouquet.

Most importantly, choose springtime wedding colors and flowers that you love. Don’t go with something simply because it is a springy color. Make sure that whatever spring time colors and decorations you go with are something that you love, and won’t regret down the road. Your wedding should be one of the best days of your life, and if you hate your wedding colors, decorations or even your flowers, then it just isn’t worth it.
