Don’t get me wrong, kids are adorable and I love them to death and most of the time I totally love their little personalities. But during serious moments they can sure be a distraction. I heard of a wedding not too long ago where the ring bearer (only about 2 or 3 at the time) sat down on the stairs at the front, sighing loudly and singing songs to himself, only to be followed by yelling out into the crowd to people he knew, and screaming EWWWWWW when bride and groom kissed. Sure, it gets laughs out of the audience, but it totally distracts from the wedding. Face it, although the child can be absolutely adorable, there is no telling what they’ll turn into once they stand up in front of everyone at your wedding ceremony. So, here are some qualities to look for when choosing your flower girl and your ring bearer.

As I was writing the last article I realized that there are lots of places where you can cut costs in your wedding planning, and that there was much more to write about on the subject. You can read the previous article here, “Wedding Planning to Cut Costs Part 1“. True, it is my belief that most local wedding vendors overprice their goods for weddings, and do I believe there are things you can do to counteract that. Some of it I learned by doing myself, and some of it I realized in hindsight. There are plenty of options out there to implement which can help you cut costs on the ever rising cost of weddings.

A new bride typically only has a few wedding showers before the actual wedding ceremony, and it should be fun for everyone involved. A themed bridal shower is a great idea, and many people have started finding fun theme ideas to make the shower more memorable, and helpful to the bride. The wedding shower is typically thrown by the maid or matron of honor or some other family member. The location is any place that works with your theme.
