We took them to parties, gave them out to classmates and friends, and took them with us to our grandmother’s house to celebrate the Christmas holidays. Wedding Planning Cost reductionsWhen I was doing my wedding planning, it always amazed me just how expensive everything was. It seemed that if it had a wedding or bridal label on it, than it would cost twice the amount of everything else. Now, in all reality maybe it was just stress from wedding planning that made everything seem so expensive, but if you’ve done any kind of wedding planning, then you know what I’m talking about. The fact is, vendors realize that because they are in the wedding business and that brides will pay more for their products because it is for a special occasion. So, to keep from getting taken by all of those wedding vendors out there to make a buck, here are some great tips to saving money to use on something more important, like…the honeymoon!

1. Invitations - Most craft stores will sell sets of wedding invitations that you can print off from your computer. Get a hole punch, add some ribbon to tie off into a bow, and no one will know the difference. Another idea, create a free wedding website that guests can RSVP to, and you will save money in return stamped envelopes.
