Make Your Wedding ChecklistWhen planning a wedding, most people usually leave off packing for their honeymoon until just a day or two before the wedding ceremony. With so many other wedding details to remember, it is easy to forget something that you will need on the trip. The last thing you want is to be stuck somewhere without cash or something else you need, and will be kicking yourself over later. So, to help get your honeymoon off to a good stress-free start, here’s a list of the top 5 things to be certain not to forget.

For wedding day don’t forgets, check out our “Top 5 MUST DOs before the Wedding Day” post.

1. Travel Documents

Airline tickets, e-ticket confirmations, hotel reservations, passports if you are traveling out of the country, and any other confirmation pages in case of a jam. You can never be too careful when traveling away from home. Be sure to store them in your carry on so that they are easily accessible if needed. Passing copies of itineraries to a family member in case of emergency is also a great idea as well.

2. Credit Cards/Debit Cards

Even if you have already paid for your trip in a honeymoon vacation package, it is still always better to bring them with you in the case of any unexpected expenses along the way. As an added note, be sure to notify the credit card company and your bank that you will be on vacation. Banks keep a close eye on their accounts, and if charges start coming through from Mexico, and they can’t get ahold of you, they will put a hold on your account, which could make things sticky for you.

3. Copy of Marriage License

Nearly all honeymoon resorts have some sort of special deal for honeymooners. But in order to get that upgraded room, bottle of champagne in your room or any other perks the hotel offers, you have to show them a copy of your marriage license at check in.

4. Camera

If you have a digital camera, be sure to pack it along with extra batteries. If you don’t have a digital camera, be sure to bring extra film or lots of disposable cameras to take all those memorable shots of the places you go on your honeymoon. While most honeymoon vacation resorts offer camera, film and batteries in their gift shops, you’ll likely pay three times as much as you would if you just bought extra.

5. The Essentials

This changes in regard to wherever it is that you are going. If you’re going to the beach, be sure to pack sunscreen and aloe vera gel just in case. Another good idea is extra swimsuits and cover ups, comfortable shoes in case you sightseeing, and nice clothes for any romantic dinners you have planned.

The easiest thing to do here is make out a list a few weeks before the wedding, and then once you pack that certain something, be sure to check it off your list. Don’t take the attitude that you can never be too prepared, if you’re not careful, you could be stuck with a bag that feels like its packed with bricks.
