When you are the bride, you are queen for the day, and you and your future husband are the center of attention. Therefore, you need to pay special attention to every part of your bridal attire as every part of you will be noticed, photographed, and commented on for years to come. So, it is important to look your best, and do everything you can do to be flattering, charming, beautiful, and most of all comfortable on your big day. The most popular types of flowers for wedding hair accessories include baby’s breath, miniature roses, large lilies, or other orchids which go along with your wedding colors. Using flowers as wedding hair accessories is less costly than purchasing something else, of course depending on which flower you choose, but you will need to time it correctly. Putting flowers in your hair too early can lead to wilted ugly flowers by the time your wedding starts, so be sure to consider that when having your hair styled.

Wedding Tiaras

This is the kind of wedding hair accessory that I chose. I didn’t want to look like Ms America with the giant crown that stood a foot off of my head, but I did want something small and short that I could pile my long hair behind that would really look beautiful. I ended up choosing something that much resembled a headband with Swarovski crystal flowers and decorations. Having a wedding tiara as a wedding hair accessory is a great way to add some class to your wedding hairstyle, just be sure it isn’t too big and gaudy.

Wedding Combs

Another popular idea for wedding hair accessories is to use wedding combs. Wedding combs typically have crystals, pearls, or other type of decoration on them, and when used properly can be very beautiful. They add elegance as well as class to just about any wedding hairstyle you choose.

My hairdresser was able to help me considerably when it came to choosing from the different wedding hairstyles. I scheduled an appointment with her, told her that I had a short crystal headband/tiara that I was wanting to wear (see my article on Bridal Tiaras), and we went from there. We tried lots of different wedding hairstyles until we found one that I really loved. She took pictures, wrote some notes in my file, and we were set.
